Switzerland, Morocco, Eritrea & Algeria / Voodoo & electronic music
There is no turf war in this ensemble where each artist claims his or her place in a musical micro society made up of contrasts and natural adjustments born of the meeting of different cultures. With no desire to smooth out differences, the foundations laid by the European artists invite the migrant musicians to add their own experience. From this union, a curious polyphony emerges.
Cyril Yeterian and Cyril Bondi joined forces with the post-punk electro-kraut duo Hyperculte, composed of Simone Aubert of Tout Bleu and Massicot and the founder of the Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Vincent Bertholet (bass and voice), and invited three immigrant musicians: the Moroccan guembri player Anouar Baouna, the Eritrean krar player Samuel Ades and the Algerian darbouka player Ali Bouchaki.
Their first album, Être Astre, was released in March 2023.
