The 1st and 2nd of September
Abbaye de Forest
Abbaye de Forest
Forest Sounds is completely free, and has been since its very first edition!
Since last year, we have set up a donation system to support the festival, as the increase in costs is a reality that puts its free nature in jeopardy. We want to continue to offer you a magical day that is accessible to everyone.
Open to all, environmentally friendly, festive, family-friendly, located in the heart of a beautiful Brussels site, Forest Sounds is the perfect way to end the summer! An initiative of Palais des Sciences (Antitapas Nights), BRASS (Cultural Center of Forest), and the Municipality of Forest.

The main entrance to the festival will be via Place Saint Denis. The abbey is easily accessible by bike and public transport. A bike parking area will be available.
Unfortunately, our furry friends are not welcome on the festival site.
Since its foundation in 1106, the Abbey has been a place of worship, a site for vegetable and industrial production (a mill was replaced by a first factory in the 19th century, followed by a second…), a place of life (for nuns, pilgrims, and Forest residents), a place of culture and artistic creation… This layer of history now gives this small village a particularly precious and unique atmosphere.
Although the development of railway infrastructure and industrial activities to the north and west have partially disconnected the site from the city, this true green lung is still greatly appreciated by Forest residents. The presence of the administrative center, a commercial center, and a true town square where cultural events, flea markets, and markets multiply are just a few of the many assets of the neighborhood.
In recent years, the heart of Forest has received particular attention: the Communal Hotel has been renovated since 2010, and in 2014 the Municipality of Forest benefited from the Sustainable Abbey Neighborhood Contract, which allowed for the implementation of public space renovations, public facility renovations, and socio-economic projects.
At the heart of this dynamic, this remarkable heritage that is the pride of its residents and the Municipality will be renovated, redesigned, and converted into a Cultural Center by 2023.
